We transformed a traditional travel agency into a modern AI-powered travel platform that empowers travel agents to create personalized itineraries in minutes and share them instantly through a simple link. Agents no longer need to invest time or money in building and maintaining their own websites—the platform handles their digital presence seamlessly. At the same time, the platform helps travelers connect with local experts early in their journey, enabling them to discover authentic experiences and hidden gems across Sikkim. By bridging the gap between travelers and knowledgeable local agents, we make it easier for visitors to explore Sikkim beyond the usual tourist attractions and gain a deeper understanding of its culture, people, and natural beauty.
The challenge
One of the biggest challenges we faced was encouraging traditional travel agents to adopt a new AI-powered workflow and move away from manual itinerary planning. We also had to ensure that the AI could generate accurate, personalized, and practical itineraries that travelers could trust. Another major challenge was collecting and validating reliable local information, especially for hidden gems and lesser-known destinations across Sikkim. At the same time, we needed to build a platform that was powerful enough for professional agents yet simple and intuitive for non-technical users. Ensuring seamless communication between travelers and agents while maintaining the accuracy and freshness of travel data was also critical to delivering a great user experience.
Our solution
To address these challenges, we designed an intuitive and user-friendly platform that required minimal technical expertise, making it easier for traditional travel agents to adopt AI-powered tools. We developed a robust AI system trained on curated travel data to generate accurate, personalized itineraries while allowing agents to review and customize recommendations before sharing them with travelers. To ensure the quality of local insights, we collaborated closely with local experts and continuously updated destination information through feedback and verification processes. We also built seamless communication and itinerary-sharing features that enable travelers and agents to connect effortlessly, creating a more engaging and trustworthy travel planning experience.
